(Zygmunt Bauman)

A very candid shot indeed. Why do smokers have to litter the sidewalks?

It’s just in their nature I suppose. I ask myself the same question constantly. The rebelliousness of it maybe? Like drinkers who do a shot and throw their shot glass against a wall shattering it. That extra little F-You to the world as you flick your cigarette to the ground in the non-smoking area at the bus stop. We are a nation full of tough guys and angsty punks. We all try to look as “bad ass” as possible. The comedy of life. The tragedy of it all.
