In Germany, you would never be allowed to put the camera right into the face of a police officer. That is what make these pictures attractive for me – that and the nice black and white style – very good pictures….

They don’t necessarily like it here but have never said anything to me about taking their picture. In the United States there is a lot of anti-police rhetoric in reaction to cases of police brutality. I am a 40-year old white man though, so I am rarely harassed. When I take pictures of police, which is pretty much every time I see them, I want to capture what they are in my reality. Just the truth and nothing more. Thanks for the nice comment!
